Course objectives
Students should know indications and contraindications of selected examinations of the field of molecular imaging. Concerning examinations not included in the course they will learn the most important factors influencing the choice. They should know technical details and results of a few of the most important examinations.
Theranostics should be understood
Course content
Common principles of Nuclear Medicine, details (indications, contraindications, technical procedures, typical results, usefullness..) of selected examinations (e.g. PET, myocardial scintigraphy, bone scintigraphy). Using thyroid scintigraphy typical procedures, typical results and pitfalls will be discussed.
Parameters that have an influence on the selection of a specific examination. Theranostics will be explained
